Upper Lake Powell:

Nearly half Lake Powell extends beyond the major arms of the Escalante and the San Juan River arms; it extends well east and nearly into Canyon Lands National Park. The marinas of Bullfrog, Halls Crossing, and (lake level dependent) Hite marina, half of the lakes total number of marinas is found here. Because the water flooded less area toward the upper end of the lake, many prehistoric artifacts, including dwellings and Anasazi pictographs are found here.
