Lake Powell during the off-season:

Lake Powell is traditionally a summertime playground, but fall, winter, and early spring have a lot to offer. Traditionally everything is less expensive, when compared to a summer trip the costs are often about half as much. Weather is mild and pleasant; September and October see 70s and low 80s, water temperature often 70 plus degrees thru October.  Fishing often hits its peak in the fall, and with fewer boat wakes fish are active longer. With less people visiting the lake, most sought after beaches and coves are yours for the taking.
